There's so much people don't see when they look at me. 5/16/09

I'm about to go off on a pontific rant, so, sorry.

The other day, I was talking to one of my friends (don't remember who) about how I believe that Jesus is going to come back someday, and someone else (also don't remember who) said that they didn't think "someone like me" could be a Christian.

What is this "someone like me" stuff? You know what it is, it's typecasting. Everyone is who they want to be, there's no specific category that everyone has to fall under. And if people don't realize I'm a Christian, then they have a lot to learn about me. Just 'cause I don't always talk about stuff doesn't mean I don't believe in or like it.

Here's a few other things people don't know about me:
-I love apple juice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.
-Jewelerymaking is my favorite hobby, though I have other favorites sometimes.
-The presets on my stereo range from country to variety to rap to pop to rock (but mostly the last one =] )
-I have five stepsiblings- three on my dad's side and two on my mom's side- and a half-brother.
-I don't drink soda. I don't like the taste, and it rots your teeth. But if someone offers it to me, I might. I've had two in the last year. One was mountain dew, and the other was an excuse to leave the house.
-I physically can't wear socks when I'm sleeping, even if I'm freezing my toes off.
-As much as I love people, a lot of the time I prefer to be alone.
-The most fun I ever had in two days was at Mari's house last summer. mmmm... =]
-Wal-Mart is my favorite plase in the whole world. they sell awesome crap there, and me and my friends can act like idiots without having to worry about being thrown out. and I also saw someone there once that I hadn't seen in three years, just this last Christmas in fact.
-Toothpicks, in my opinion, are the handiest thing ever invented. Especially so, since I love popcorn.
-I hate feet -even my own- and wear some sort of footwear at all times (except when I'm sleeping, of course!)
-My favorite actors are Neil Patrick Harris and Rainn Wilson, and my favorite actress is Ellen Page (and not just 'cause of Juno- also because of Hard Candy and X-Men 3).
-My biggest dream is to put my hometown on the map. By becoming famous, of course.
-My favorite movies are the Star Wars trilogy (the old ones, duh!) and my favorite out of those three is Return of the Jedi.
-And the number-one thing people don't know about me: I AM A CHRISTIAN AND PROUD OF IT!

So, I hope that the next person to say "someone like me" actually knows someone who fits every one of these requirements. Because there is no "someone" exactly like me. Or anyone else, for that matter.

(To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised of Carly fit at least 2/3 of them...)
