I apologize beforehand for spelling errors, my hands are frozen from reasons that will be explained later.
The first hour and a half of the day was spent riding on a bus to Minneapolis. We were going to the Minneapolis convention center for a college fair. I handed out nine PETA pamphlets to schools tghat taught dissection in the biology courses. They took them pretty willingly, and one even asked for my e-mail address to get ahold of me for more informaiton.
That wat for about two hours, and then we drove for an extra half hour cause the bus driver took the long way. We got back to the school kinda late, 'cause someone was missing from the bus and the teachers had to go find him. So that was a fifteen minute hold up.
When we got back to the school, we stood out there for about another hour and ahalf in the rain, watching powderpuff football. (in other words, girls playing American football.) It was really cold. That's why my fingers are frozen, 'cause we just go t back in less than ten miunutes ago. I can't make my fingers go where I want them to on the keyboard. it's like extremely mild frostbite.
I was texting people in the rain making tons of errors in t9word, and people had to ask me what I meant in their texts back. it was kind of funny.
Ok, big story of the day: on our way back from the convention center, we passed this building that looked like two sets of boobs. complete with nips. it was HILARIOUS. we were making jokes about it for the next half hours and we laughed so hard we cried.(that was me, Sarah, Michelle, and Mel. it was rich.)\
But basically, I've had a really long but awsome day. I think there's this sophomore (10th grade) goy that likes me. it's kind of awkward since he knows my friend Dan, and he's also a stoner. Like, a well-known stoner. So much so that I could even tell as soon as I met him and I am really bad at observing stuff like taht.
It is so confusinbg for me to not go back and fix my spelling errors but I know that it would take me twice as long to backspace anbd my fingers already hurt. argh.
anyway, so seriously amazing day, and I talked to both Matts a LOT. and me and Danielle actually hung out for a lot of the time, and when I wasn't hangiung out with them, I was hanging out woth my new freshmen. (ninth graders.) There's Autumn, who is a lot like me. Then Megan, who's crazier than I am. And Maranda, who I met when I moved here. She lives up the street from me.
I also have a sinus infection, and a sore throat. and the singing bee is tomorrow. Why does that crap always happen to me?!?!? Freshman year: I got a cold the day before my talent show audition. I NEVER get sick. how did that happen. Sophomore year: I got in the talent show, and they loved my act, but I moved about three days before the show took place. Junior year: Didn't know about the talent show, and now the singing bee is upon us, and I'm sick.
WTF. really.
It's like God doesn't want me to use the gift that He gave me. It's not like I'm bad at singing, in fact I'm really good. I won;t lie, I'm not the best, but I don't suck either. Everyone says I'm really good. it's not like those girls on American Idol and the X Factor who say they can sing and everyone loves their voices; it's more like those girls who are relatively modest about their talent but just make it seem like they suck. I always sing at the top of my lungs and it sucks horribly. But when people hear me really sing, they are stunned that I actually can. I'm surprised I haven't completely blown out my voicebox, 'cause of the screaming and yelling. I should sound like Rachael Ray, but instead I sound like...
I don't know. someone who can sing?
People have said I sound like anything from Amy Lee to Carrie Underwood. I find these delusional folk endlessly amusing.
I really should post this now, since my fi9ngers still hurt and I want to listen to music.
