Now here's that story I was gonna tell... 5/5/09

[In reference to paragraph 4 of "Ok, I have to say it."]

So the way I know about the guitar and singing thing...

Last week, Matt was gonna sit at our lunch table. He's friends with Mandaheyy! and the other people I sit with. But there's no room left sinceI started sitting there. (jeez, it's like I'm always in the way.)

So then he left the lunchroom, and went to hang out with his friends in the band. (remember, not bandees. Forever Waiting.) And eventually I saw him from the doors of the lunchroom, playing guitar. So naturally, I went over to watch. He was singing "Broken" by Seether. He was about halfway through the first verse. When he got to the chorus, I sat down about five or so feet away and sang the harmony - the part that Amy Lee sings in the duet version. He wasn't expecting that, so he stopped playing and told me that he didn't know I could sing. Then I told him I can play guitar a little, and he asked if he could hear some of the things I know. And I played him "Upside of a Blindside" - mine and Alyssa's song... by the way, Alyssa, I did tell him you wrote the lyrics - and he LIKED it. HE LIKED IT.
HE LIKED ITTTTTT.

So then his friends Jake and Matt (a different one) took the guitar parts for Broken - the chords and the fingerpicking - and me and Matt sang. Aaaaaand we gathered a crowd.

HE IS A GOOD SINGER!!

Then lunch was over (after we played it a couple more times for the people who kept showing up, wanting to hear the singer of the band and the new kid belt it out). Someone in my next class asked why my hands were so shaky and my face was so red, but.. um, yeah. like I said, he makes me nervous.

I can't believe I talked myself into doing that.

But, now that I think about it, people think I like Jake. (at least, the people who don't know I like Matt.) I'm like, nooooooo. sorry. For one, another one of my friends likes him, and I wouldn't do that to her even if I did like him. For two, he's cute, but ONLY in a big-teddybear-way. For three, Um, Hello. it is possible for girls and guys to be friends without liking each other. Look at me and Steven, for a classic example.
xDee (reallyfreakinghappy)

  1. Awww, that sounds cute.

At lunch time on the day of grad this year (grad's at night time in my school), James brought his guitar in and started playing 'Free Fallin' by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and all the sixth years started singing along. Seriously, it was like ALL of sixth year. Then they started to get out of hand and the vice principle threatened suspension on anybody that didn't go to class.
